04 Fan Zhang
Creator Zhang Fan, The seven-time national wrestling champion in China, had represented the Chinese national team in international competitions with great success. In 2006, I came to the United States to coach the university wrestling team. After the 2008 Beijing Olympics, My family immigrated to the United States, where I continued coaching the wrestling team at Wartburg College(IA) and assisted in winning numerous NCAA championships. In the 2017-18 season, I am head coach the women’s wrestling team at Grays Harbor College to win the National Collegiate Wrestling Association(NCWA) Championship. Currently, I am the Head coach the women’s wrestling team at Evergreen State College. My son was admitted to Brown University, an Ivy League institution, last year. I am still pursuing my American dream as an Asian immigrant, hoping to one day produce Olympic champions.
