#62. Jaslyn Kwan, My Gift to America
My gift to America is my passion for dance. I’m beyond grateful to have been able to contribute back to our communities through dance. I became aware of the power of dance when I performed to fundraise for the SF On Lok Senior Center at age 10. Soon after, I founded Dance a Difference, a non-profit program where I collaborate with young dancers to make a difference. We perform to fundraise for many charity organizations and volunteer to teach classes to communities. It’s most satisfying to see young students demonstrate discipline and focus when learning movements, and adult students benefit with better flexibility and health. What’s next? I’m excited to have started a research and given a Tedx Talk about the possibilities of using AI to prevent injuries for athletes and dancers. I look forward to exploring this further so I can help more people with my humble gift.
