#45. ICAN, My Gift to America
Yen Pham, a Program Coordinator at ICAN, is dedicated to creating a future where every child feels heard, valued, and supported. Her journey with ICAN began as a new mother seeking guidance. Over the years, she transitioned from a client to a volunteer and now plays a vital role in supporting Vietnamese American families. Growing up in many Asian households, discipline often comes before understanding. Yen believes that listening to children builds their confidence and shapes their future. Through her work at ICAN, she has helped establish a space where parents can access culturally-sensitive resources to nurture their children with love and respect. Passionate about early childhood development, Yen advocates for positive parenting to prevent abuse and neglect. She strives to ensure that every child feels safe and valued. Her gift to America is a generation of children who grow up knowing their voices matter.
