I love tackling tough problems. This passion has led me from designing cutting-edge microprocessors as a hardware engineer to parachuting into companies to drive AI solutions for complex challenges as a business executive. Growing up in Pingyao, Shanxi, China—an UNESCO heritage site that’s cultural-rich and once resource-poor—gives me a unique perspective on thriving in both startup and large company environments. I’m grateful for my education at Carnegie Mellon and MIT, as well as for the vibrant tech ecosystem in Silicon Valley that has nurtured my professional growth over the past two decades. I’m always eager to give back to the community, and recently, my coauthor Jike Chong and I shared our insights in the book “How to Lead in Data Science”. I take pride in being part of this community, and I know I belong here!
