35 Abby Wu

My personal story talks about an Asian girl in America with an American dream, hoping to spread Chinese culture worldwide. I am Abby Wu. My family’s inspiring story taught me that being ABC Chinese is something I should be proud of. I have been interested in Chinese culture since I was a little girl. Since Kindergarten, I have been in a Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP) in Fremont, CA, making Mandarin a subject I learn in school daily. In addition, with my mom’s help, I spread traditional Chinese culture throughout my community. When I was 6, I got a mind-blowing chance to sing at the Fremont Council. This change allowed me to spread Chinese culture. I hope that one day, Asians will be able to unite and have more Asians involved . When we all come together, we have greater strength.
